Black Diamond revised their Momentum AL Climbing Harness this year. The new design features an Open-Air waistbelt and leg loops that offer incredible comfort and safety.
PRODUCT FEATURES:
- Traditional, fold-back waistbelt buckle
- Bullhorn-shaped OpenAir waistbelt built with Dual Core Construction which uses two slim bands of high-tensile webbing on the outer edges of the waistbelt and a venting OpenAir foam insert in the center to offer breathable, lightweight comfort without pressure points
- Patent-pending trakFIT leg loop adjustment which uses a simple, secure slide adjuster to quickly and easily adjust the diameter of the leg loop and provide a wide range of fit
- Adjustable, releasable rear elastic riser
- 4 pressure-molded gear loops
- 12 kN-rated haul loop

Some people think that the Momentum AL is an old-fashioned climbing harness, but if a design is really great, why change it? Black Diamond have mode some updates to this harness- it's now sleeker than ever before, especially around the leg loops, but the double-back waist buckle remains because many climbers prefer it that way. It's easy to appreciate the absolute security of a double-back buckle. You know it won't slip no matter what happens and you won't have to tighten it up halfway through a session. |
