By: Levi Opsatnic

Well, it’s finally happened, the spring season has officially started to occur in the State College area. I’m now able to leave my house without being bundled up with down or other insulations, the clocks have been adjusted and are now granting us a bit more sunlight each day, and I’ve even been able to drive without the heat blasting onto my body.

What does all this mean to Appalachian Outdoors? Well, a few things, actually: muddy and sunny springtime hikes are now an option, we’ll be receiving all types of cool spring merchandise that I’m pretty darn excited to check out, but also that we’re doing a bit of spring cleaning in the shop. Spring cleaning in a sense that we’ve been steadily lowering the prices of previous season merchandise to let everyone take full advantage of the upcoming spring and summer seasons.

With spring weather comes the simple fact that there’s really no denying that one of the best ways to kick off the warmer seasons is with a new pair of shoes. Add in all of the ventilation that this sandal has, and you’re ready to hit everything from the beach and the boardwalk to some rushing, Pennsylvanian streams.
