Icebreaker
In an effort to divert away from petroleum-based products and keep natural products in nature, Jeremy Moon started Icebreaker, a predominantly merino wool brand that was geared towards getting outside. However in 1995, most people had their minds set on synthetics, so Jeremy had to work just as hard to convince people that petroleum wasn't the answer as he did to craft fine products. As his company gained steam, so did the need for merino wool, so Jeremy began partnering with tried-and-true merino suppliers for his resources. By 2005, Icebreaker added accessories like socks, hats, scarves, and gloves into their line. Following this step, Icebreaker moved on to be the first company to print graphics onto merino, welcomed a kids' line of products to their brand, and also banned mulesing practices in their fabric sources. Icebreaker is currently one of the top merino companies on the market, and regardless of your need or adventure, they're sure to have just the right merino for you.
