Appalachian Outdoors offering "Free University" Classes for 2008

Appalachian Outdoors will be offering a series of free clinics, seminars and courses for the general public that cover a wide spectrum of outdoors interests led by our talented staff. Snowboarding, camping, hiking, backpacking, climbing and backcountry first aid are topics covered in these educational classes that emphasize safety, comfort and preparedness. These seminars will offer information on many outdoor activities: what to take, where to go, how to manage travel safety issues, and where to find many other resources available for outdoor recreation.

All seminars and clinics are at 7:00 pm at Appalachian Outdoors, 123 South Allen Street, downtown State College (between College and Beaver Avenues). Clinics are on the first and third Thursday of each month. The sessions will last about an hour, refreshments will be provided and they are free to the public. No registration is required. Come as you are! Parking is free on the streets after 6:00pm. We also provide free parking validation for one hour in all downtown parking garages.
