From time to time, even the most highly acclaimed softshell jacket needs some care and feeding. Nikwax Softshell Proof, Spray-on Fabric Care renews the durable water repellency (DWR) on the outer face fabric so that moisture beads up and rolls off the garment instead of soaking into the fabric. This improves performance in two ways. It greatly reduces moisture weight gain and it provides a predominantly dry outer surface so that moisture vapor is more likely to move, or breathe, to the outside of the garment instead of condensing on the inside. Ideal for Windstopper, Schoeller, and Windbloc softshell garments, Nikwax Softshell Proof, Spray-on Fabric Care is especially suited for treating garments with wicking liners that would otherwise compromise their ability to move moisture if treated with a similar wash-in treatment. This treatment works best when the garment is clean. Nikwax Tech Wash (sold separately) removes water attracting dirt, body oil, campfire smoke, and detergent residue so that Nikwax waterproofing treatments, such as Softshell Proof, Spray-on Fabric Care can provide optimum performance. Environmentally safe water based formula revives water repellency. Recommended for Windstopper, Schoeller, and Windbloc softshell fabrics. Spray on treatment is ideal for garments with wicking liners. Convenient to use. No washing machine needed. Best used after first cleaning with Nikwax Tech Wash. Treats 1 or 2 garments depending on the garment size and fabric absorbency.
