Camelbak has been a leader and originator of convenient hydration since Michael Eidson started the brand in 1988. During a bike race in Texas, Eidson found himself in a jam whenever he couldn't hydrate while riding the race. Being an EMT, he filled an IV bag with water, threw it in a tube sock, and pinned it to the back of his jersey so his mouth could access the tube. A few months later, Camelbak's first product was released under the name "Thermalbak." Camelbak's products quickly became a favorite with everyone from athletes to military personnel, and in the year 2006, they started crafting waterbottles.
