Woolrich
With almost two centuries of experience under their belt, Woolrich is a brand that spreads the history thick and crafts some of the finest products on the market. Started by John Rich in 1830, Woolrich established themselves as a woolen mill out of Plum Run, Pennsylvania almost immediately. By 1945, Rich found a need for a closer proximity to water as well as a larger factory, this lead him to a factory next to Chatham Run in Woolrich, PA; this location is still intact and a part of Woolrich's community. Five years later, Woolrich debuted one of their most timeless products with their Buffalo Check Shirt. About a decade later, Woolrich became the company to supply Union soldiers fighting in the Civil War with wool blankets--these are the same blankets that Woolrich continues to manufacture out of Pennsylvania and the same blankets that American soldiers used during World War I and II. For the next several decades, Woolrich continued to release innovative products that stood the test time, and they entered a worldwide market. Today, Woolrich maintains the same family lineage and level of success that they've known for quite some time, and whether you're on the market for a winter blanket, an original Chamois shirt, or a Pennsylvania Tuxedo, Woolrich is a company that you can count on.
