Quiksilver
Whenever Alan Green and John Law saw a need for better boardshorts and wetsuits, they took matters into their own hands and began crafting their own out of their garage. This decision marked the beginning of Quiksilver in the year 1969, and by 1973, Quiksilver was on the market and creating a name for their iconic boardshorts. Choosing a logo that equally represented a snowy mountain and waves, Quiksilver was quickly known as a pioneer of high-quality design. It wasn't long that Quiksilver was on the market before most surf professionals took to their gear; Kelly Slater was one of the more notable professionals who backed Quiksilver in their early days. Facing several years of success, Quiksilver was able to branch out and launch their sister company named "Roxy" in 1990. With this addition to their line, Quiksilver continued to grow and expand for the next decade or so. Today, Quiksilver is still a leading company for surf and snow gear, and they also manufacture a range of versatile clothing that will carry you from a busy city to a section of solitude far away from anyone else.
