We are looking to hire a Bookkeeper/Accounting Assistant
If you are a team player, are well organized, and have a strong attention to detail whenever it comes to finances, we'd love to meet with you. A Bachelor's Degree in accounting is preferred and 2 years of relevant accounting experience is necessary. Applicants should be planning to stay in the area for at least a year.
Job Duties include:
Reconciliations -- Credit card statements, bank statements, and monthly account reconciliations
Prepare monthly financials
Assist with inventory discrepancies
Payroll -- prepare hours and submit to outside payroll company
Daily Deposits -- reconcile receipts and enter deposits
Forecasting and budgets -- Maintain cash forecast and work with owner and other departments on budgeting
Manage Accounts Payable -- Enter invoices, communicate with vendors, pay bills, and verify service expenses
Order supplies
Prepare performance data
Assist in employee benefits planning
Organize and maintain financial records
Work with a team to make best-practices recommendations
Prepare books for fiscal year-end
Reconcile account discrepancies
Prepare monthly sales tax submission
Complete new hire paperwork
Skills/Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
2 years of relevant accounting experience
Experience with Quickbooks
Strong communication skills
Detail-oriented
Problem-solving skills
Works well with a team
Proficient with Microsoft Office
