If you’re a fly fisher, then I’m sure you’ve heard of professional fly fisherman, Joe Humphreys, and if you’re a State College local, then I’d be shocked if you haven’t had an interaction with this jolly guy. At 86 years “young,” Joe continues to pursue the activity of fly fishing on a regular basis, and not only that, but he also continues to teach as much about the sport as possible. Whether you’re having trouble on the stream or catch him on the sidewalks of State College, he’s always more than willing to shed some light on fly fishing.

Being that Joe is such a great individual in the world of fly fishing as well as his day-to-day, the story of his life is finally coming to fruition in the film Live the Stream: The Story of Joe Humphreys. Although this film is yet to be released, the following trailer makes it seem like it will be quite a doozy. And as a fly fisher myself, I can say that I’m downright excited to see Joe’s story unfold.
